Frequently Asked Questions
Answers for buyers evaluating Apollo for temporary fields, events, remote sites, and generator-free deployment.
The Apollo S is a battery-powered portable LED light tower producing 50,000 lumens from a 758Wh battery. It weighs 75 lbs, sets up in 60 seconds, and extends from 4 to 20 feet — no generator, no cords, no permanent infrastructure. It is the only tower Eversun currently sells, and units are in stock and ship now.
The Apollo S produces 50,000 lumens — comparable to a traditional 1,000W metal halide fixture in practical field use — at a 5700K daylight color temperature for clean, white light. Interchangeable lenses let you trade throw distance for coverage width.
The Apollo S runs for 3.5 hours on full brightness (100%) and over 150 hours on the lowest dimming setting. At typical field lighting levels around 70% brightness, expect approximately 5 to 6 hours of runtime.
The Apollo S includes a high-speed AC charger for its 758Wh battery system. While designed for true cordless portability, the system can be connected to standard 120V power for charging or extended operation when available.
The Apollo S supports interchangeable 20-degree (spot), 40-degree (medium), and 60-degree (flood) lenses. The 20-degree lens is best for long-distance throw, the 40-degree is a versatile all-purpose option, and the 60-degree provides the widest coverage area.
The Apollo S carries an IP55 rating, meaning it is protected against dust ingress sufficient to prevent harmful buildup and against low-pressure water jets from any direction. It is safe to operate in rain, snow, and dusty conditions.
The Apollo S has a telescoping mast that adjusts from 4 feet to 20 feet. You can set the mast to any height within that range to optimize light coverage for your specific application.
A single person can deploy an Apollo light tower in approximately 60 seconds. Extend the legs, raise the mast, aim the light heads, and turn it on. No tools are required.
Yes. The Apollo S weighs 75 lbs and is designed for one-person transport and deployment. It also comes with a travel bag for moving between sites, and wheeled soft and hard cases are available as accessories.
No tools are required. The Apollo towers use quick-release mechanisms for the legs and mast. Lens changes are also tool-free.
Each LED module is mounted on an adjustable bracket that allows 360-degree rotation and tilt. Loosen the hand knob, aim the light, and retighten. Both light heads can be aimed independently for maximum coverage flexibility.
Yes. All Apollo models produce zero emissions and zero noise, making them safe for indoor use. The Apollo S is particularly useful indoors since it requires no power connection. Ensure adequate ventilation as with any high-output lighting.
The Apollo towers work on concrete, asphalt, grass, dirt, gravel, and sand. The tripod base provides stable footing on uneven terrain. For soft surfaces like sand, optional anchor accessories are available.
Yes. Apollo is well suited to temporary field expansion, overflow courts, tournament overlays, and after-dark training where permanent poles would be too slow, too expensive, or too inflexible. The towers deploy in about 60 seconds and can be moved between sites as demand changes.

We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with your Apollo light tower, contact us within 30 days of delivery for a return authorization. The product must be in original condition.
Apollo towers ship via freight carrier in a protective crate. Residential and commercial delivery options are available. Typical delivery time is 5 to 10 business days depending on your location.
Traditional diesel light towers weigh 2,000+ lbs, produce 65+ dB of noise, emit fumes, require fuel and maintenance, and take 15+ minutes to set up. The Apollo S weighs 75 lbs, produces zero noise and emissions, requires no fuel, and sets up in 60 seconds.
Yes — the Apollo S is built for true off-grid deployment. It runs on battery power, can charge while in use when AC is available, and is the best fit for beaches, remote fields, temporary events, and sites where extension cords or generators create friction.
Apollo towers are used for outdoor sports leagues, concerts, festivals, film and TV production, construction sites, emergency response, military operations, mining, public works, backyard events, and any situation requiring portable, high-quality lighting.
The LED modules are designed to last 50,000+ hours, which equates to over 13 years of nightly use. In the unlikely event a module needs replacement, Eversun offers replacement modules that can be swapped without tools.
LED technology produces significantly less heat than traditional metal halide or halogen light towers. The Apollo modules have built-in heat sinks for thermal management. The light heads will be warm to the touch during operation but are safe around people and equipment.
The Apollo towers feature an on-unit dimming control. For fleet or multi-tower applications, contact our sales team about available remote control and scheduling options.
